Thanks for your quick reply Scott E. The first link does not work as it is for EZ drummer and gives the same issue I currently have with S3.
The second link seems to be a solution. Uninstall S3 and reinstall, then direct to the new folder for EZ files during install.
Here is my question, how to reinstall S3 without a minimum of 40 gig download for basic sounds? I don’t want the sound files, just the S3 program to reinstall.
I see no option in the Toontrack manager for just the S3 program. All libraries are 40 gig + options.
    Thanks for your help.

The product “Superior Drummer 3” (in the Product Manager) is the software, which is about 300 MB. The sound libraries are all named “Superior Drummer 3 Library…” 🙂

Thank you Henrik. I’ve downloaded uninstalled/installed the SD3 prorgram (290 MB) only. During install I am only given option of where to install the VST. No option for the EZdrummer library content. When I run SD3 after new install it does not show my EZ libraries in drop down and again, there is no option to select path in the program. If I have the EZdrummer folder in the expected location listed below, it works fine.
I literally have the same issue now as my original post. Uninstall/install does not give new option for locating EZ library. It’s like SD3 forces you to use the location on PC of C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesToontrackEZDrummer. I want to change to another drive. Where in the process is there an option?
    Thank you.

    Hi James,

could you by any chance have installed Superior 2 or EZplayer Pro on the same system?
If you have uninstalled all Toontrack MIDI file capable players, i.e. you do not have EZdrummer 1/2, Superior 2/3 or EZplayer Pro installed, then the following reinstallation of Superior 3 should present you with Custom install options and for the ‘EZHOME’ location.
Then you should be able to point this to an external drive and folder.

OK, I uninstalled EZ player Pro, S2 was already uninstalled. I have NO midi player Toontracks installed. Never had EZdrummer. None show installed in product manager. I have rebooted computer. Install S3 and am given NO option for “EZHOME” location. Only asks where to put VST for program. Getting a wee bit frustrated.
Here is a pic of the library manager after fresh install. All libraries for SDX show up fine. Going to grooves tab I get the midi error message attached in pic. Also attached is library showing No option and still insisting the midi library location is bla bla programs(x86) / toontrack etc
Your help is appreciated. Thank you.S3contentpath.PNG

    Hi James,

I understand your frustration and I am sorry that you’re still experiencing problems.
The above described procedure should have worked and I would go about it in either of two ways:

    1) uninstall SD 3 again to make sure no Toontrack player is installed, then try with Installing EZplayer Pro or Superior Drummer 2 to see if you are presented with the Custom option.

    2) install the EZdrummer 2 Demo and then move the ‘EZdrummer’ (EZHOME) folder according to this FAQ:

Thank you John! I installed EZplayer Pro and it asked for the location of midi during install as option. Once I directed it to my new drive location, installed SD3 and all the midi and EZdrummer kits loaded up and worked perfectly. A bit of a long road, but happy to have made the journey.
I would suggest the option to direct to new location within SD3 just like you can do with the SDX libraries as an update.
Thanks again and hopefully this will help someone else in the future.Laugh
