    Hi,

is this in standalone or as a plug-in in a DAW? If the latter, which one?
Can you monitor incoming MIDI in any way to see if EZdrummer 3 is receiving AfterTouch?
Which MIDI controller are you using? Are you triggering note #51?

    BR,
    John

Yes, with noted kit, it is triggering Bow Tip midi note #51.

Playing 8th notes in a 4/4 109BPM track on all Ride cymbal expressions. Bow Tip, Bell, Edge.  Have since checked other kits and appears that all ride cymbals are now doing this.

Currently writing the drum part with EZdrummer3 as a plug in on a stereo track within my session. But it happens in both the session and in standalone. My recording set up is ProTools 2025.12.1 / Sonoma 14.8.7 / Mac M1.

When troubleshooting I unchecked both Aftertouch and Poly Aftertouch in Protools (unchecked means data passes through). Both were enabled by default.

    No change.

    Any ideas?

    Appreciate your help!

Does this happen when you write your drum arrangements in the EZD3 grid editor, instead of the PT track itself? (Just for troubleshooting of course)

Does the track with EZD3 inserted have monitor selected?

The drum part is written in the EZDrummer 3 grid editor and the midi has not been brought into the PT track/grid yet. But with that being said, I just opened the session and the ride cymbal is now triggering properly after days of dealing with the ride cymbal muting issue and it’s my bad…  Compression was the issue.

Thank you both very much for responding and for your help! Sorry for the user error troubleshooting.

    Kindest regards, Diane
