Hi all,
Is it possible to export an EZbass midi track to audio and mono? All of my exports show up in stereo. Any help is appreciated. Also, is there a place where I can do a search of the forum here?
Best,
devin
Only via your DAW you could sum to mono. Or maybe you can load EZB into a Mono Instrument track and it would be more native for your workflow. The program itself is Stereo. I’ve personally given up on trying to get mono files from TT software after years of conversation here about it. Type ” shootie mono” in the Search and you’ll see my last attempt in wanting mono files/workflow.
At the top of the site there is a big search bar, that is ‘also’ for the forum. It’s a common that people overlook it.

Thanks, Shootie.
So, do you drag the midi from toontrack to your DAW and then convert the track to audio within your DAW? You make some great videos. Much appreciated in general.

Devin, I’m suspecting maybe you do not load EZB “inside” your DAW. I personally never export anything from EZbass. And as my own preference, the midi rarely leaves EZBass. EZbass lives on it’s own channel in my DAW and performs it’s duties there.
If that’s the case for you. Look in your plugins folder in your DAW and you’ll see your TT products. Load your TT product inside your DAW there. If I missed your point/question, let me know.
This video is pretty advanced, but if you just skim through it, you’ll get an idea of my typical workflow. It might give you some ideas.
And thanks for saying 🙂

Hi Shootie/Sean,
Yes, I saw this video it’s really good. I’m mostly interested in converting the midi to audio to free up CPU space. I have yet to do a search but I also want to off-load my internal hard drive and post on an external. I have just way too much stuff. Thanks again.
Devin
Hi Devin,
if you wish to relocate your EZbass sound libraries and MIDI to an external drive, please see this FAQ:
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/can-i-relocate-the-ezbass-sound-library-folder-to-my-external-drive/
The principle is the same for EZdrummer 2/3 and EZkeys if you have those products as well.

Hi,
I am just not clear from the thread if it is possible to export from EZbass DAW plugin (I am using Logic) an mono audio file.
The background is that I want to use EZbass for creation of a bass track and to use Clean DI setting and then export this bass track into a mono audio file. This bass audio file will be used in the studio mix with an amp plugin select by the mixing guy as best fitting for the mix. Therefor it will be need the bass track as DI type and this should be clearly a mono track (as it would be with a real recorded bass).
Thanks, Rainer
EZBass (all toontrack products) export as stereo. There is no way to make it mono on export. If it’s a DI sound, just split the stereo file and keep one of the files.

Thanks. I did it that way now.
As this way is not very elegant and can in Logic been done with bounce of whole project only and therfor needs to mute all other tracks. All the export single track or region functions do not allow stereo split.
Maybe this stereo/mono option could be a topic for Toontrack for future EZbass version? This might expand the usability of EZbass into more professional range.
There’s no need to bounce to mono. You can either set the channel to use the left or right channel, or you can narrow the width on the stereo pan control to bring everything to the center. If it’s a direct signal on both sides, it will easily fold to mono.
