Quite the surprise there. I have been looking for a good tight modern kit and finally found it. I replaced the crash cymbals with some thin sounding ones from C&V( I must admit that I have loved the cymbals from this kit since the old Superior 1 days), backed off the deep EQ cuts at around 6K(?) on the toms and there I have it, my tight modern kit. Absolutely in love with the snare sounds. Just great for those 5, 7 stroke rolls.
Eventually I will get around to the heavy drum sounds in Evil Drums, but for now, I just can’t stop playing my tight kit.
I can’t believe that this sample set is not flying off of the shelves. It really is a superb product.
