Hi, I’ve seen similar posts about this topic but wanted to ask more specifically about the drum kits I’m thinking about and if anyone has experience with them.
im looking at drum-tec ekits, the Roland td50k2, Roland td27kv or the Alesis strike pro se.
I’m not really worried about the kits that are on the module for now because my main plan is to use this with superior drummer 3. I’m mostly focused on which kit will give me the best experience with sd3 as far as ease of set up, feel, and trigger response.
If you have a choice and the funds then it’s the td50. The digital hats, ride and snare make it worth it. There is also a guy who can get a lot more out of the digital hi hats (Martin Tromler although I’m not sure I have spelt his 2nd name correctly)
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
