dtxtreme 3 and cymbal choke

Hi All!

I was wondering if there are any tips on getting cymbal choking to work with the dtxtreme 3 module/set. I followed the guidelines posted for roland and I had perfect response on my friend’s td-12. When I did the same thing on the yamaha I still couldn’t get it to choke — yes envelope is set to on, aftertouch is set, release is set to 80 ms etc.

are you sure all trigger inputs actually support aftertouch? from the module’s doc:

Channel Aftertouch
Transmission only.
When the Function parameter is set to MIDI and the MIDI Type is set to AT,
pressing the Hi-Hat Controller transmits Channel Aftertouch messages.

this would indicate to me that you may not be able to control envelopes this way from other triggers. Keep us posted!
