Hi,
I use EZD3 in standalone mode and noticed that. For example, if I switch from Bright Room to Main Room the difference is minimal, while if I switch to Tight Room it’s pretty noticeable. I understand the kit sounds more dark and muffled by design, but cranking the volume knob in the “Drums” tab (bottom right) makes it sound louder (and way better imho) and basically fixes the problem without cranking the knob too much (around +6/7 db is enough). But if I choose some of the EZX Sound Expansions I bought when I was using EZD2 like “Seventies Rock” and “Pop Punk” the output volume is so low that I need to crank the knob to at least +8/10 db AND boost the volume on my headphones to use it. Strangely, in these cases the Master Volume icon shows some clipping (which luckily isn’t audible) while the overall volume is just normal. I must say these presets worked in the exact same way in EZD2, the volume was lower compared to other EZ2 presets.
I understand the problem can be solved just using the volume knob, but since the value is not saved in the preset infos (because it’s a “general” value I guess), when I go back to other louder presets the volume is huge. I tried to look in the mixer tab to see if there’s a master volume knob but I didn’t find anything, so I need to manually adjust the volume every time.
I discovered that if I save everything as a Project the volume can be saved for each preset, but it’s not the most practical solution. I created a lot of presets over time and basically I need to save each one as a separate Project? That’s crazy.
Do you have some suggestions?
Is that a way to save the volume setting in the preset?
Using a software like Reaper could fix the problem?
Thanks for your help.
