Delay Compensation in Pro Tools – WAY off

I’ve been having this problem for a long time and its driving me CRAZY… I’m on the latest version of Superior, Pro Tools and Big Sur but Ive had the same issue on every other version. I thought it was a glitch, but with each update its been the same.

I’ve been sending midi to Superior and using bussing, some UAD plugins… and there is a massive delay/ flam problem. Its completely off time. If I turn OFF delay compensation its better, but still off/out of phase/flammed

When I use the “trigger” option its even worse. It sounds like even the individual drums are off from each other. The only way to get around this ive found it to get general sounds and print it to audio immediately. The printed audio ends up in the correct place and is phase aligned.

Does anyone know if theres a setting or something that I’m missing?? Maybe this is Pro Tools specific??
