Changing a kit within a song?

Hi there,
I’ve got a completed drum track with many clips (and many edits) using the default kit (Sonar X1d) but need to change only 4 measures to a softer brushes kit. How do I change this section while keeping the default kit in the rest of the song? Do I bounce to tracks ONLY the clips with the default kit first, change the kit, and then bounce to tracks the 4 measure section with the brushes kit? Would like a method to utilize different kits in a track without bouncing first. Thanks!

You could use some x drums , I would open up another instance of SD2 and then move the midi to that track for that 4 bars to keep it live.
The main difference will be the snare, the kick wont change

If the entire kit is being utilized, I’d go for juicy’s advice to load a second instance.
If you only use the snare or just a few drums during those bars, I’d load them as X-drums in the same instance.
