Change snare drum sample midway through the track.

I’m kind of new to SD3 and have a question. How do you change a snare drum sample midway through a track? I want to create a different vibe in the middle Of the track with a different snare and revert back to the original one after I have recorded the performance, but  I am not sure how to do it.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

you cannot program an instrument change so that one position loads another instrument but you can add an extra instrument by clicking the ‘Add Instrument’ button in the top left corner, search for the one you wish to add, then click ‘Add Instrument’.

This lets you have another Snare in another position and it will automatically pick a pre-configured MIDI mapping and mic output assignment but you are of course free to edit the MIDI mapping and microphone routing. To change the routing, right-click the new Instrument pad and go to ‘More>Route Instrument Microphones…’
