Hello!
I bought a new computer and want to install everything from scratch. I copied my sound libraries and the Toontrack Product Manager works well…activated all EZ Mix Packs and SD3, Metal Foundry and Death & Darkness.
So far, so good…but I cannot update SD3 to the latest version. It says that the sound library is from 2017 and the 1.2 update is from 2020…library and presets. Toontrack Product Manager downloads 2 GB of data, but I cannot install anything.
The install directory is empty and I cannot click on Update.
What should I do?
Is it because I activated Death & Darkness first (because it was on my SSD while the SD3 update was still downloading)?
Do I have to install SD2? My Toontrack Product Manager lists SD2 and SD3 Upgrade…I only installed SD3 Upgrade…do I need SD2, too?
Please help!

Ok…it is a bug. You cannot copy your sound library, then update it. I had to download all 40 GBs again…then apply the update.

Hey LeanderL,
After copying a library to a new location, you need to update the Library path within SD3 as well (from the Libraries/Paths settings page).
If you can load the library in SD3, the updater should also work.

Hi,
I’m having the same issue. I can load the basic sound library in SD3 and all paths seem to be correct but I can’t update the sound library to 1.2.0. I just get a blank Install Directory and the Update button is greyed out. Any ideas? Do I need to re-install the Room Mics and Additional Bleed as well if I want to re-install the basic sound library?
Hi marius334,
please see my reply in the other thread where you posted.
