Can EZKeys be used as a "midi effect" to trigger an instrument on another track?

I am thinking of buying EZkeys.  I bought EZbass just recently.

I am wondering if EZKeys can be used to trigger instruments on different tracks.  I have my own piano instrument I’d like to use in place of the built-in one.

(I know I can drag midi to the other track, but this isn’t what I’d want.   I want to use EZKeys to generate midi & trigger the external instrument, even if I am auditioning loops within EZKeys.)

Is this possible?
