Bar marker not following the song during playback (Cakewalk Sonar)

I’m using EZ Drummer 2 in the latest version of Cakewalk Sonar.   Not sure if it’s a EZ Drummer problem or a Sonar problem.

In some songs (not all), the drum bar marker isn’t following the song, but the drum sound is playing along.  The marker is static.

Follow song is ticked.

How can I re-enable it to follow the song?
