Audio Engine Inactive

Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.7 | Logic Pro X 10.5.1 | Tascam USB 2 X 2

I’m getting the error ‘Audio Engine Inactive’  on some of my compositions. They’re generally pretty simple, with 6-8 MIDI tracks.

Possibly it’s an error with the Tascam driver, it’s an old MIDI/Audio interface, although the firmware has been kept updated. But I’d like to know before replacing it.

Solved maybe it can be useful

This is more or less solved except for a problem of latency-sound-image synchronization with the drums I had before the last update

but, what must be done to avoid garageband-midi pad controller lockups

is to revert – to come back to last  2.1.8 version  by a line code given by Toontrack

And don’t take the latest version with Mac OS Big Sur (for me, it blocked, garage band crashed and froze (wheel spinning endlessly))

for me this version was not a problem but only the last update 2.2.0
