So, I’ve been attempting to keep and save the settings that Ezdrummer 3 “learns” when using the “learn” function for Trigger allocation.
While at first they work great and everything is fine, once I reboot or turn off the mac and all three drum brains, they reset and revert back to triggering already set toms and cymbals. I’m assuming there’s some sort of communication cross-over happening, whether that’s the Alesis modules, the Roland modules or the Icon Mi-3, I’m not 100% sure.
I should note that all three devices in use are as follows: TD-9 Roland module, DM4 Alesis module and a DM5 Alesis module.
Each of the three are plugged directly into a Icon Cube Mi-3, which is then plugged into my 2015 IMac, running Monterey.
All triggers in use range from Sound X drum pads and cymbal pads, as well as a single RT-Mics trigger, Roland single zone RT-30 triggers, on Remo mesh Silentstroke heads, to a couple of Roland BT-1 pads (one of which I’ve just noticed isn’t plugged in), but that shouldn’t be causing the issue in question lol.
I’ve also yet to seperate the channels to each 3 devices via Ableton Live 10, but that may be my only solution to having a massive kit with FX from various Ezdrummer addon packs.
The last time I attempted to solve this issue I’m having, I was pretty certain that all pack addons and the Ezdrummer software was up to date. EDIT: I’ve just checked and Ezdrummer needed an update.
I’ve yet to try again, but if anyone has any suggestions as to what the culprit actually is, that would be great. Otherwise this weekend, I’ll attempt what I mentioned in relation to Ableton Live.
