Ableton Live 12 Intro and Superior Drummer 3 – HiHat ist always open

Hey fellow Drummers,

I face a strange problem with Superior Drummer 3 when using Ableton Live 12 Intro as DAW. Strange because I don’t have this problem when using Logic Pro X on the same computer (Mac Mini 4).

My setup:

• I choose a MIDI-Track, add Superior Drummer 3 VST3.
  • I use a TD-27 with a VH-14D and I selected the respective MIDI preset for TD-27
  • Also I calibrated the HH: both in the TD-27 and Superior Drummer 3 UI.
• The HH triggers an open sound even when fully closed:
  • HH Tip Trigger: Note 46 / A#1
  • HH Edge Trigger: Note 26 / D0

Again – this is not happening in Logic Pro X!

Any thoughts?

Hi, I thinkableton doesn't recieve the cc message. Did you check the incoming cc message?

That seems about right! I just see that the calibration did not work at all! It’s not recognizing the pedal.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Sorry, but I’m not the ableton guy 🤷‍♂️

I’m using GigPerformer for my drumming with a td27. Ask youtube, maybe you’ll find something there.
