Hi all!

Well, here’s one more tune for that project I’ve been working on. Again, no vocals as they haven’t been recorded yet but I did a quick rough mix for the vocals session and it sounds pretty decent so I thought I’d share.
Brushed SDX C&V kit with some slight EQ and compression on, fairly dry bass, guitar and fiddle. Now, here’s the crazy part, I did drums and the same guy recorded all bass, guitar and fiddle for me for ridiculous money! You can only find this kinda of insanely talented people on Nashville!

Were the drums programmed or played with edrums, or is it MIDI grooves? They sound great in any case. Tell the dude that played the bass, guitar and fiddle he did great too. I have a guy that I use here at my studio for that type of thing. He can pretty much play any instrument. I have a 60s Fender mandolin here and during a session he picked it up and played around with it. In an hour we laid down the mandolin part. Come to find out he never even played the mandolin before and just figured it out on the spot. Musicians like that are rare, around here anyway, and it’s fun to work with them.

Thank you Scott! Those are grooves taken out of the Nashville EZX, I added a few crashes here and there. Almost no room or even overheads it’s mostly direct mics. And of course I produced the whole thing and told the guy what to play and where, but then he just took it to another level… I shouldn’t be surprised, he’s played for Dolly Parton, Joe Diffie, Tracy Lawrence, Mark Chesnutt… I mean, he’s just fenomenal, but there are so many of those around here that they have to make ends meet playing for little money. Check him out, he does stuff online, if you ever needed fiddle or some killer chicken pickin’ guitar tracks!
