Well here is what i have part#, where to get it, and how much(i went with what i think is good for me). Got everything from either musicians friend or interstate music. Free shipping on everything.

First upgrade

Note : this is for the remo practice set bass pedal mount
u need:

2′ – 1 1/4 emt conduit, the galvy stuff
1 – 1′ bolt with nuts and washers
2 – 1 1/2 dollar plugs ( yeah they fit)

Cut 1 piece 8″ and 5″ out of the 2′ emt. Drill a hole though the pipe about an inch from the end on the 2, 5″ pieces.
Now take both dollar pulgs down to the rubber and jam these into each end of the 8″ piece(this is to get it straight when tightening).
Slide the 8″ piece through the pad arm clamp.
Then throw it all together. I had to tighen it pretty hard but it ain’t movin.

Build time 20 min.

“Pintech practice hit hat stiffing”

U need:

22 gauge sheet metal
Rivet gun and rivets
Drill
Tin snips

First off i would have covered the whole thing but i only had that much left. Make sure it is square. Use tape to hold the sheet metal on the bottom of the cymbal. flip it over and use a marker to mark to off the excess.
Now take the sheet metal and cut about 3/8 from that line u drew on each corner. After its all cut tape agian square. Drill a hole going from the sheet metal side on one side of the sheet. After that throw a rivet it there (this helps with assembly).
Keep going around one at a side at a time making sure its square. After your done it might be a little warped, to fix this put it on the floor bottom side down and press evenly till its striaght. Works so good that the top cymbal is now flexing. haha.
Just need to do a couple more upgrades like foam over the sheet metal , but i don’t plan as of yet on doing it on the top hi-hat cause of triggering issues. Oh and the other larger holes u see was my first attempt to keep to bottom hat from being sucked up. But works really well oh yeah duh. okay sorry about this.
To find the center on the initail taping and marking mark throgh the cymbal hole. when u take it off use a punch to indent to sheet metal (this gives it the curve it needs.
Then drill the center out with a fairly large bit 1/2 ” to 1 ” .
After that throw a rubber rommet in there to protect your stand.

“5 minute tape switch”

What u need :

“Thin” double sided tape ( to make as stealth as possible)
Reynolds wrap ( aluminium foil)
Xacto knife
Wire

Well the pictures pretty much says it but here it goes.
Cut your desired length of double sided tape giving an inch on each end (so you can hold it while u cut, then u can cut it off after ur done).
Cut your “pattern” (working on a couple) the length of the tape leaving the inches on each end uncut. Place your wire on one side of the tape makeing sure it has good adhesion (it should).
Now place the tape and wire on a piece of foil, pressing down to make it stick. Then cut around it with ur xacto. One side done, told u it was easy. Peal the backing of the tape on the other side.
Place the other wire on this side of the tape. place the tape and wire on the foil, press down, and cut out. There u got a tape switch.
Oh and always test with a multimeter to make sure ur wire connections are good and the switch works. The foil holds the wire to the tape and the tape holds on to the wire, so it ain’t going anywhere.
Total cost about 5 bucks for 5′ of tape switch. woho.
