Hi,
I have the task of editing/remixing age-old Cubase 6.5 sessions that contain quite a few EZDrummer 2 tracks. The MIDI-Data is all there, but unfortunately due to the fact that I only have EZDrummer 3 available in my DAW when I simply try replace the MIDI-Instrument in the tracks the results are nowhere near the original mixes. I have done some research by looking into the Cubase CPR-file with a text editor: some EZDrummer 2 settings are available in clear text and I tried to replicate those in EZDrummer 3 but the result is still too far off. Some percussion elements are assigned wrong, some samples seem to be missing completely, and so on…
I have watched tutorials that explain how to export EZDrummer 2 presets and re-import them in EZDrummer 3, but I have only access to my registered copy of EZDrummer 3 so I do not have the option to export the settings at all. Is there any other way to carry over all the EZDrummer 2 settings to EZDrummer 3 without having to buy EZDrummer 2? Is there maybe some sort of legacy download for EZDrummer 3 users to be able to use EZDrummer 2 simply for conversion tasks? Or is there a third party product that can help? Any other tricks I might try?
thanks in advance for your help,
best regars,
Tony
PS: I have all the necessary expansion kits in EZDrummer 3, so that should not be the problem in my opinion
