Is there a way to track just midi effectively?

  Hey Folks

  It would be awesome if anyone could shed some light on this for me.

  I have an E kit and I bought Superior Drummer 3, however, I would love to track the drums on my macbook (which doesn’t have the capacity for SD3) and then import the midi into my main PC running Superior Drummer 3 (which has much more capacity).

  Is there a way to just track midi on my Macbook, without doing the whole ‘triggering a software instrument’, and then import those midi notes into my main PC running superior drummer 3?

  I know the great solution would be to bring my PC to track e drums, but I would love to use my laptop for convenience!

  Any light shed would be greatly appreciated!
