Just this week, all my kits for EZX defaulted to black kits or default images in Superior Drummer 3.
I think All of the kits need to match the sales page, especially for us non-drummers.
I contacted support and they said EZX kits now are defaulting to black kits when using SD3. Is that true? They all used to match sales page last week though?
Should I reinstall prior versions of expansion kits? Should I turn off SD3 auto-updates?
Will the images eventually be updated? To me, this would be like using my guitar software and picking a les paul, only to see a strat on the image?
I really don’t like this, especially since I used to work with graphic arts.
Hopefully, you will make this change or advise me.
I can only echo Toontrack Support. EZXs show with black kit piece color. This is not a bug. It is due to different graphic design for each program. S3 has dynamic graphics and EZD2 uses static images. Do to this being a fundamental design, I can’t say if anything can be updated.

It’s definitely better version in SD3. But there are “duplicate” kits recorded at same time, where SD3 has the additional mics/rooms/presets, kits, etc.
I own Nashville kit. But it appears the Motor City kit is duplicate. I can only find the MIDI appears to be played by 2nd drummer, while EZ kit, listed a different drummer for that midi.
Bob Rock has 2 kits and the sales page lists the differences in kits.
Too bad they didn’t have an “upgrade” SD3 version of some kits? Where the images, more mics, different presets, etc could be included and if you kept EZ drummer version, you get less.
