Hi, I have a problem after upgrading Superior Drummer 3
My Toontrack Product Manager suggested that I upgrade EZDrummer2 and Superior Drummer 3.
After upgrading both programs, Ableton and Reaper cannot run them.
I present the screenshots
message appears:
“the installed resources and the plug-in are not the same version!
Please reinstail Superior Drummer 3”
Will uninstallation cause the loss of the drum tracks I created in Reaper and Ableton?
How to solve the problem that the DAW cannot see the new SD3 3.2.6 version?
Do I have to really uninstall it and re-load it?
regards
PZ

Hi,
this suggests that you have moved/copied the Superior Drummer 3 .dll file post installation, since the Updater has been run but you have older .dll files loaded in your hosts.
Please locate all instances of the Superior Drummer 3 .dll on your system and delete them, then run the latest Superior Drummer 3 updater again.
You can see this FAQ for more info on how to locate the .dll file when you want to set the path correctly in your hosts:

Thanked by: Pawel ZThank you very much for help
Now it’s ok
Indeed, on the advice of a “You Tube expert”, I have shifted all VST files into one folder.
According to the expert, it was supposed to make my work easier …
I use: EZBass, EZDrummer 2, EZDrummer 3, EZKeys (1), EZMix 2, Superior Drummer 3
by the way
what does the message appearing in Reaper next to the VST plug name mean: (32 out)?
I use: EZBass, EZDrummer 2, EZDrummer 3, EZKeys (1), EZMix 2, Superior Drummer 3
reaper tells you that you have up to 32 outputs coming from the plugin thus you could route all avaiable channels of sd3 to separate reaper tracks.
note: depending the library there might be more or less options – the “bigger” sd3 sounds also have surround microphones and stuff, those a (not 100% shure) the “biggest” (channel count) ones according to microphones.
below you see an example routed to 26 outputs to any DAW if you would split up the bassdrums and toms you`d reach 32:
