    Hi Jeffrey,

Could you provide some more details regarding the crash? What kind of transitions and MIDI were you using, and, if you can recall, what action triggered the crash? It would also be helpful if you could provide a project (zip, either the Cubase project or if you have a copy of the .ezbp file). You could either upload it here, or if you don’t want to post it here, you can open a support ticket: https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/.

    Hi Mattias,

I was editing chord transitions I think when the crash happened. It was only after this unfortunately that I started using the save feature in EZBass and turned on autosave so I won’t lose future work. I’m still working on the project so there will be an .ezbp file if it crashes again. I can upload a .ZIP of the Cubase file to tech support today, but am wondering if I should upload the crashed version that crashes on opening, or a working version? When I create the support ticket, should I also include the Mac crash log files?

    Thanks!

Hi! The one that crashes on startup is of most interest, but i think both may be helpful.

Yes, please include them in the support ticket. Thank you.

Oddly the support submission generated an error that the file-type was not compliant (Crash report file). Not sure if the ticket got submitted or if the .zip of the project was uploaded as I didn’t get a confirmation.

Hi. No ticket seems to have been created, unfortunately. I’ll send you a link that you can use to upload the files. Please post a note here when done.

We’ve sent you a fixed project file now that shouldn’t crash. Please check if the first MIDI block is okay.

Hi Jeffrey, I hope you have received the recovered project file. There are still som issues, however. Something, probably during an Undo event, has corrupted the MIDI on the track. We are investigating the issue, but you are advised to (from within EZbass):

    • Export all MIDI from the track (either one block at a time, or as a complete selection). You can do this by dragging a MIDI block from EZbass to your desktop.
    • Delete all MIDI from the track
    • Import the MIDI again.

    Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks. Now that you mention it I’m pretty sure I did an undo just prior to the crash.

I have already completed a replacement track, and have EZ-Bass doing an automatic project save every minute.

Really appreciate the support. I started using ToonTrack products in 2003 with DFH. Superior 3, EZ-Drummer, EZ-Keys, and now EZ-Bass are part of my go-to arsenal.

    Jeff
