Failed to mention I completely uninstalled and reinstalled EVERYTHING and it made no difference. Very frustrating.

I’ll not familiar with Ableton. Do you have the option to direct Ableton to scan a specific path, to where the .dll files are? My daw normally picks up new plugins, but on occasion a plugin vendor puts the .dlls in a weird place, and I have to direct my daw to scan that path.

    Hi,

that directory seems odd and the Toontrack plug-ins are not VST3 plug-ins but VST2.

If you check this FAQ, you see where the VST .dll files should be installed by Default:
    https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-set-the-path-to-my-toontrack-plug-in-in-cubase/

Anyways, you point your host to where the VST .dll files are installed. In Ableton that would be by opening the Preferences, then clicking ‘Plug-Ins’ and then you can Browse to a Custom location and enable the Custom location.

Alternatively, you uninstall the EZdrummer 2 and Superior Drummer 2 plugins (not the libraries) and make sure they re-install to the System-wide VST folder.

How “odd” can that directory be since it is the default path chosen by the software’s installer?

Also, when I was checking out EZ Drummer 2 via the 10 day demo, I ABSOLUTELY had a VST 3 file listed and used. It was only after purchasing the “full” product and installing it did the VST3 disappear. That would be the part that I find odd.

I know that this forum post is months old, but the bait and switch on the plugins is very confusing to me.
