You have to select the instrument (shaker, tambourine, clap etc) as a drum beat.  Then draw it in or use the preset that shows up. For ex. The same way you’d select a 4/4 rock beat, you search tambourine and it will bring you all the tambourine beats. Select one, drag and drop in to your DAW and edit from there. Hope this helps.

    I have one more question.

I can find tambourine and shaker pattern in Library.

but there’s no handcrap patterns in Library.

So what should I do to record handclaps?

Hi Mike. So many options for workflow, that’s why EZ Drummer is soooo awseome!

First of all, if you use a DAW, then you can access the One Shot/Claps via the C#-2 key in your piano roll or on your hardware keyboard/VKit.

If you don’t use a DAW, you could find a pattern on any drum instrument you like from any midi file in your EZ Drummer 2 Library “ANY”… A kick pattern, a hi-hat pattern, or a tambourine. After you drag that pattern to the Song Track (timeline), double click it, to open it in your Edit Play Style window. In this window, right click on the drum you want to copy or cut the pattern ‘from’, them right click on the One Shot/Claps and paste…. and Ka-Bammo, you now have your clap pattern.

Want to perform your own clap pattern? Open up the Tap2Find window on the Search Page. Simply tap with your mouse, keyboard or Vdrums the pattern you want the clap to play. After clicking Show Results, drag your new midi block from the Tap2Find’s midi drop zone to the Song Track. Do you like that new midi file you just created and want to keep it for future projects? Drag it to your Use Midi folder and store it.

Trying to program or perform your percussion but it is not triggering correctly? Check out this advanced video about Futurehit and how to tame it… https://youtu.be/lP0na1BP8rk

Good luck, hope that clears it up for you.
