Hi everyone!
I am about to get a Roland TD-11 module to play at home, and I am interested to connect it to my PC (Windows 10) to play my drumkit sounds using EzDrummer (or similar), using TD´s USB por. The goal is connect my TD-11 module to the PC so not just EzDrummer will deal with the drum sounds but also record them (using Cubase or similar).
I am not able to find a specific answer about this question: is TD-11 module good enough to work as an audio interface, so no delay or problem can be found when playing, while my PC is dealing with the drum sounds and effects?
I tried to find it out from some YouTube videos or other threads. Some they just connect the TD-11 module to PC, others they use an external audio interface (some user in another thread named the interface Roland UM-ONE)…but just need to know some personal experience about it.
Thanks!
Hi there,
I use my TD 11 with Superior Drummer 3 using the USB into my computer. Works great. I have no lag or latency, but that is CPU dependant, not Trigger Module dependant.
There is a TD11 eDrum setting in SD3, I used to use it, but I have added a tom and the way the template is it put my high tom in a weird note up the keyboard, so it made it hard to edit and see in my PianoRoll view (Logic Pro).
Again, it works and its a lot of fun. Good luck.
Huh, didn’t think that here I find the same issue I experienced with my Alesis. Maybe the problem is in your PC? Cause after I upgraded mine to * gig ram, it started to work okay
