    Hi Dave,

that’s not what I wrote, I suggested you contact Toontrack Support directly instead of posting here at the Forum.

The way to do that is easily accessed via any of the FAQ pages, e.g. this one:

    https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/

AFAIK, the Product Manager should be Catalina ready but release versions of macOS aren’t always the same as pre-releases.

Personally I have refrained since all my other audio software and audio hardware drivers are not ready for the release version of Catalina yet.

    BR,
    John

A workaround for this issue with the Sound Installer on macOS Catalina is to change the download location in Product Manager to somewhere that is not within your Downloads, Documents or Desktop folders, nor on an external disk. I would suggest a new folder named “Toontrack Downloads” located directly in your home folder. Then use the “Move Downloads” button (in the Product Manager preferences window). When that is done, you should be able to install.

However, this won’t help if you want to install to an external disk. See https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/cant-install-on-catalina/page/2/#post-2493536 for how to install manually in that case.

    That worked Olof! Many thanks

I have this same issue. I already downloaded the files to my download -folder, but moved the files to the home directory and tried to install. This didn’t work, the issue persists.

Same Problem on Catalina, I have moved the DL folder to where it was suggested, deleted DL and still get an error.I included a screen shot

That’s not the same error. It looks like there is some problem with your MIDI/EZX location. Open SD3 and go to Settings > Libraries/Paths and check “Additional Libraries” at the bottom. What’s the path and does it say the folder is missing or something?

Just did this and still does NOT WORK. I just paid over $400 for software I can’t install because no one can code a basic installer in 64bit?

Do the work around and if still not working do a restart. Then works.

Thank you Olof for the workaround, it worked perfectly for me. Toontrack should fix the issue ASAP. That sort of problem shouldn’t happen when buying a 400$ software. Seriously.
