    Hello,

    could it be the bleed- and/or  amb knobs in the mixer?

    Greetings

    Apparently it was bleed over from the mic placement on each drum – Toontrack support was VERY helpful in troubleshooting the issue and explaining why it was happening…

    Thanks for jumping in and offering your input – much appreciated!

    Hello I’ve got a question.

    Do you hear clicks and plops if you use the EZ drummer 2 app? My specs:

    •  an intel Core I7  4790K 4Ghz
    • 16 RAM installed,
    • Windows 10 64 bit.
    •  ableton suite 9, 64 bit
    • EZdrummer 64 bit as plug- in.
    • No other plug- ins installed.

    I’ve bought the seveties rock EZX and the UK Pop.

    There is krackling and plops if I use anything else but the ‘original mix ‘ setting from the EZX.

    My buffersize (latency) is at 256 on my RME multiface soundcard.

    Greetings

    Dirk

    The only suggestion I would have is to increase the buffer size a little at a time to see if the clicks and pops go away after each tweak.  Also – are you using ASIO for the soundcard – I am not familiar with RME?

    Hello Todd,

    nice to hear from you.

    My buffersize is 256. If i use 128, it’s nothing but plops and clicks, cracks. If I use 516, the latency is too much to play the e-drums. If I use the original mix from the EZX presets, it’s ok. I use ASIO. Never had any problems with the soundcard. I use to record my acoustic drumset live with mics, usually 7 or 8 mics with this soundcard. No problems.

    I’ve just finished 2 music video’s with adobe premiere CS5 with no problems, so I don’t understand what’s going on. The support of Toontrack can’t help me either. The tested the EZX seventies rock punky Arnold preset (all crackel when I use this one) with no problems..

    I guess I will be “bouncing around” a lot..

    Greetings

    Dirk

    Hello Tod,

    I saw you also use windows 10 so just to let you know, problem solved. It’s windows 10 in the poweroptions:

    • Control panel;
    • power options;
    • Plan settings;
    • Change advanced power settings;
    • Minimim processor state: 100% (instead of 5%); Maximum processor state: 100% (was ok for me); system cooling policy: active                                      = no more crackling, plops and …                                                                                                                                                                                                          Greetings Dirk

    Hello there,

    I happen to have the exact same problem, but unlike you I can’t get it to work. I know this is an older thread, but maybe you could tell me/us a little more about the solution you came to with the assistance of the Toontrack peeps? Would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello – not sure which issue you are talking about – can you elaborate with details of what you are trying to do?

    Sorry, I meant the multi channel bleed issue from your original post, that happened to have something to do with the individual mic placement on each drum. Would be great to hear how you did it!
