Good Morning.
Having an issue with EZDrummer 2 and Ableton and multi channel setup. I put EZDrummer 2 on a MIDI track (Modern / Basic kit), go into the mixer and choose multichannel. I then create several Audio tracks to handle the outputs. The kick sounds on the MIDI channel (as expected), the snare is routed to Audio Track 2 and it’s sound is isolated only to Audio Track 2 (as expected). However – if the kick is hit, the sound is also coming over the snare Audio Track 2. I have the hi-hat set to Audio Track 4 and it is isolated to that track (as expected). The toms are set to Audio Track 5, but the sound is showing in Audio Track 2 as well as Audio Track 5. Open hi-hat is set to Audio Track 6 and the sound is isolated there (as expected) but kicks and toms show up there as well as the snare track (Audio Track 2). Am I missing a step somewhere? I have seen videos on YT for setup and feel I am setting this up correctly – any ideas?
TIA for any feedback!

Hello,
could it be the bleed- and/or amb knobs in the mixer?

Thanked by: Todd MavisApparently it was bleed over from the mic placement on each drum – Toontrack support was VERY helpful in troubleshooting the issue and explaining why it was happening…
Thanks for jumping in and offering your input – much appreciated!

Thanked by: ApparatusHello I’ve got a question.
Do you hear clicks and plops if you use the EZ drummer 2 app? My specs:
I’ve bought the seveties rock EZX and the UK Pop.
There is krackling and plops if I use anything else but the ‘original mix ‘ setting from the EZX.
My buffersize (latency) is at 256 on my RME multiface soundcard.
Greetings
Dirk
The only suggestion I would have is to increase the buffer size a little at a time to see if the clicks and pops go away after each tweak. Also – are you using ASIO for the soundcard – I am not familiar with RME?
Hello Todd,
nice to hear from you.
My buffersize is 256. If i use 128, it’s nothing but plops and clicks, cracks. If I use 516, the latency is too much to play the e-drums. If I use the original mix from the EZX presets, it’s ok. I use ASIO. Never had any problems with the soundcard. I use to record my acoustic drumset live with mics, usually 7 or 8 mics with this soundcard. No problems.
I’ve just finished 2 music video’s with adobe premiere CS5 with no problems, so I don’t understand what’s going on. The support of Toontrack can’t help me either. The tested the EZX seventies rock punky Arnold preset (all crackel when I use this one) with no problems..
I guess I will be “bouncing around” a lot..
Greetings

Hello Tod,
I saw you also use windows 10 so just to let you know, problem solved. It’s windows 10 in the poweroptions:
Hello there,
I happen to have the exact same problem, but unlike you I can’t get it to work. I know this is an older thread, but maybe you could tell me/us a little more about the solution you came to with the assistance of the Toontrack peeps? Would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Hello – not sure which issue you are talking about – can you elaborate with details of what you are trying to do?
Sorry, I meant the multi channel bleed issue from your original post, that happened to have something to do with the individual mic placement on each drum. Would be great to hear how you did it!
