Sorry for the bother but I have an urgent problem!
I update Superior Drummer 3 and one of the other SD3 packs and now I have a problem in Presonus Studio One 3. When Studio one comes up, instead of getting the usual SD3 window, I get a message that states:
“The installed resources and plugins are not the same version
Plugin version 3.1.2
Resource Version 3.1.3
Please reinstall Superior Drummer 3………..”
So, I went to the Toontrack Product Manager and reinstalled SD3. Nonetheless, I get the same box with the same info stated above. Hmmmm….
Again, I’m very sorry for the bother but I did a stupid thing in the middle of a project and I’m stumped. I’ve never had problems with Toontrack software until now. It’s always been very dependable. I probably did something wrong, I’m not very good at this yet but I’m learning.
Nonetheless, if any of you have had this problem and know where I screwed up, PLEASE HELP, It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time and patience,
Mj
Hi,
this would indicate that the .dll file loaded by Studio One is a copy and not the one installed (and updated) by the Product Manager.
Please locate your ‘Superior Drummer 3.dll’ files and delete them, then re-run the latest update and point Studio One to this .dll file instead of copying it.

John

John,
Thanks for the response, I appreciate your time! However, I’m a novice at this and would not know how to find my DLL files or how many I need to look for. Is this the way this was suppose to happen? One of the reasons I like Toontrack is the way you manager your product for update etc. It was always a “piece of cake”. This time I’m very bummed, this happened right in the middle of a project. Not good!
Nonetheless, is there a simpler solution. I have know idea where the DLL files are or for that matter how many I’m looking for and how to point Studio One at anything.
Thanks for your your time and patience,
Mj
John,
Well! it just keeps getting better! I erased all the Superior Drummer 3 files I could find and went to Toontrack Product Manager and installed again (I think, what is DOWNLOAD, I did that too). Nothing! Now I get this message:
“This device is not installed on your system”
What happened here in the first place? was this how the upgrade was suppose to work (this is a question, please answer)? I have never had this happen before and frankly, it sucks. I need to get my software up and running NOW! Why such a long delay between correspondence?
Again, thanks for your assistance!

Hi,
while there usually is someone available on the Forums at all times, the main body of technical advisors are in Europe and I personally do not monitor more than a few hours each day. If speed is vital here, I suggest you to contact Toontrack Support directly via the FAQ:
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/
When do you get the error message “This device is not installed on your system”? When starting the Product Manager?

Mj, please start the SD3 standalone, select “Show Plug-In Path” from the Help menu, copy the displayed path but without the “Superior Drummer 3.dll” part. Go to Studio One preferences and add this path to the VST paths in Studio One.
