Hi there,
Currently trialing EZ Drummer before purchase…
I created a drum track in EZ Drummer by instantiating the plugin within Studio One. Once I did that, I opened up the Mixer in EZ Drummer and selected “Mutlichannel,” which auto-assigned new channels in Studio One for each drum sound in the kit I used. So far, so good…
After that, I went to the “Instruments” panel of Studio One, selected “Expand” and was able to toggle EZ1 through EZ 16, and the mixer panel then displayed all the new channels. What did NOT happen, however, is that new tracks weren’t created in the Tracks panel of Studio One. I have one track that houses the plugin, but I was assuming the channel strip would reflect a new track for each drum output represented in the channel strip. I’m wondering if this is the way it “works” with EZ Drummer of if I’m doing something incorrectly. Basically I have 16 channels of drums, but only 1 track…Not sure how much it matters, I can still add effects and sends to each channel…just curious…
As an aside, I have no “click” button in EZ Drummer, so when I hit the record button in EZ Drummer, I can see it’s recording, but I can’t find any way to turn on a click track so I can play a beat using my keyboard to trigger the drum sounds…All I have at the bottom of the plugin is “Sign, Tempo and Follow Host.”
Thanks in advance. Seems like a pretty cool tool once I get through some of the learning curves.
