Hello All-
I just installed EZD2, and think I may have mis-saved some mixer settings as “Basic” in the preset save dropdown at the upper left of the EZDrummer window. I was looking for a way to reset everything to factory settings, and only found the feature: Menu; Advanced;Restore factory MIDI Database. However, I could not find any documentation as to what this actually does. Three questions:
1. What does “Restore Factory MIDI Database” function do?
2. Can I do any damage by using this feature?
3. Are there other easy methods to get back the original manufacturer presets?

1) it restores the database for the MIDI grooves libraries to “Factory Settings”
2) No
3) I am not sure I follow but you can always reinstall the latest update of EZdrummer 2 and any EZX. Please post a screen shot of your presets.

There is no way you can ‘over save’ a factory preset in EZdrummer.

Well, I tried to upload a screenshot…but I do not think it worked. But all that it is is the preset “Basic” selected, and the EXLatin kit loads. This is not really a big deal, just inconvenient. Related question:How does one remove a preset? Again, these are the presets located in the upper left drop-down box.
Also, I did the factory reset thing…No change. By your description, that would not have a bearing on my problem, anyway.

Okay – I see how to delete the presets…The little red “X” at the top. This brings up another question about presets.
Why are there two locations to create presets? One is the gray drop-down located at the upper left, but the other is the bigger gold drop-down that has the tool-tip that says “Select library preset” when you hover over it. Why two? How are the different?

för att veta vilken version du har installerad går du till menyn ‘Help’ i EZdrummer 3 och sedan ‘About EZdrummer 3’.
Har du provat att återställa MIDI-databasen? Gå till menyn ‘Settings’, sedan ‘Advanced’ och så klickar du på ‘Restore MIDI Database’.

to find out which version you have installed, go to the ‘Help’ menu in EZdrummer 3 and then ‘About EZdrummer 3’.
Have you tried restoring the MIDI database? Go to the ‘Settings’ menu, then ‘Advanced’ and then click on ‘Restore MIDI Database’.

har du kontaktat Support som Rickard beskrev? Jag skulle verkligen rekommendera det.
Annars är det enda jag kan föreslå just nu att starta programmet Toontrack Product Manager, gå till produkten ‘EZdrummer 3 Core Library’ (alltså inte ‘EZdrummer 3 – Regular’) och klicka på ‘Show Details’.
Ladda ned ‘Core MIDI update for Windows’ och Installera den. Starta sedan EZdrummer 3 Standalone och se om det fungerar.

Otherwise, the only thing I can suggest right now is to start the Toontrack Product Manager program, go to the product ‘EZdrummer 3 Core Library’ (not ‘EZdrummer 3 – Regular’) and click ‘Show Details’.
Download the ‘Core MIDI update for Windows’ and install it. Then start EZdrummer 3 Standalone and see if it works.
