If you want those great EZDrummer kit sounds, you need the MIDI to be played by EZDrummer…
You may have to learn how to insert virtual instruments within your particular DAW.

Perhaps this FAQ posted by Toontrack under the Support section of their website will help:

or this post from here on the forum:

Are you loading Ezdrummer as a VST instrument in Cubase or are you running Ezdrummer as standalone and dragging MIDI into Cubase from there? Have you followed the steps in the Cubase manual on how to load a VST instrument and how to route it properly?

I’m not able to completely follow the instructions of the “How Do I Set the Path to My Toontrack Plugin In Cubase” article. When I click Import Setup and follow the path that the article recommends, I get inside the Toontrack folder and only find a 20 KB application extension called EZdrummer.dll, and when I click on it, nothing happens. Nothing is imported into Cubase. I appreciate your help so far, but I’m still going wrong somewhere. Technology really is a love/hate relationship, isn’t it? :/

Oh, wait. I see what I was doing wrong. Praise the Lord, I’ve seen the light! :) Thanks for you help, it was very much appreciated.
