I recorded some midi with my e drum (TD 8 brain, TD 3 drums, into superior, with Reaper as my DAW). the kick drum is coming up with a velocity level of 29, no matter how hard i kick it. if i play the audio through my TD8, the kick drum sounds fine. obviously i can edit the recorded MIDI to make the kick louder. but is there another way to do this so i don’t have to edit the midi? is there a way i can make the midi louder to begin with? thanks
Yes this happens especially with Double kickers that dont hit the centre of the pad like a KD8 and calls for rather high sens setting to act half decent.
