Hi!
I’ve searched google and this forum for hours, so i’ll make my post.
I set up my Roland TD-9 modul to fits me perfectly how i’m playing. Now I want to record drum loops via Cubase 4 and Superior Drummer 2. If I plug my headphones into the TD-9 modul everything is fine (ghost notes, velocity,…) but if I play the beat in my DAW with Superior Drummer 2, something strange is going on and the swirls are no-swirls, they more like 16 or 32 notes but don’t role.
What do I wrong? Is it the modul or simply a modifkation in my VSt?
Hi,
the Roland implementation of swirls is happening inside the module when you select Brushes as your Tools. The module actually sends all those notes you hear via MIDI.
As of right now there’s no good solution how to use this properly with a VI.

hmm it’s a pity that this doesn’t work well. Yesterday I found out, that the velocity-setting has to be done in my Cubase 4, not on the modul, so anybody read this
take your handbook of Cubase and go to -> midi velocity or search for ‘127’ in combination with midi
best regards and thx for the reply
I’m not sure I really understand what the problem is, however, if you are wanting press or buzz rolls make sure you have auto quantize turned off in cubase 4
