    Hello –

Very interested to hear more about Monterey support….The new MacBook Pros ship with Monterey, and cannot be downgraded to Big Sur or other earlier OS.  So fingers crossed that Superior Drummer works reliably….

    1. Is there a way to show the MIDI mapping, including the MIDI In/E-Drums setting re-mapping, in the main screen? It would be very useful to keep track of all the remapping.

May I ask you to describe a situation where you like to be able to do this? It would help me improve the design Smile

    Why would you need it?
    When would you use it?
What would you do with it?
    What steps would you take…?

    Dear Andreas,
Thank you for the reply and interest.
This problem arises often for me, because I use both E-Drums (Roland V-Drums) and keyboard to enter and edit drum MIDI parts, even within the same project. I go back and forth between the 2 input methods, as well as editing visually in Logic’s Piano Roll. All is fine when playing V-Drums. Problems arise when editing at the computer via MIDI keyboard or visually. (This issue arises every day for me.) At that point, there is no quick way to know which sounds are mapped to which keys, because of the E-Drum re-mapping. I either have to rely on faulty memory (not a good idea), guess, play random keys on the keyboard until I find it, or go digging in the E-Drum remapping window.

The MIDI Mapping keyboard box only shows Superior Drummer’s internal mapping, not the E-Drum remapping, so it is not correct at that point. For example, if I want to change the V-Drum-played hi-hat part from tip to edge, I need to know the correct note number for edge hi-hat trig. The mapping shown in the MIDI Mapping Keys box is misleading, since it does not include the E-Drum re-mapping happening “behind the scenes”. I would like the option for that MIDI Mapping Keys window to show the actual final key I must play to get a certain articulation; that is, it should take into account the E-Drums re-mapping.

I hope that makes sense…I can attempt to explain further if that was confusing. I confused myself.
    Thank you again.

    Best regards.
