    Hi Andreas

Thanks for your reply. My version is 3.0.2 and I am using windows 10. I write my basic tracks in the standalone version, and use them in Reaper to see where they need modifying.

The crashes occur in the standalone version, but I cannot pinpoint a particular action which causes them.

Also, I find that when trying to edit in Reaper, all sorts of weird things happen, like notes disappearing and sections moving about without really understanding why, so I revert to the standalone version to do editing.

In EZD2 – working as above presented no such problems.

I realise that new software will always have glitches – so please don’t think I simply have a down onEZD3 – the full size screen for instance is a very welcome addition

Although I can now find mapping in the drop down menu –  it seems to me that some of the great features

in EZ2 have been moved around.

What could be easier than clicking a drum, and getting a drop down menu which shows the details

of midi note or key, whilst also having the ability to engage the transport buttons.

This way, you can change the articulation to see what it sounds like as you play a looped section, and record

easily without having to change windows. Simply click the undo button if it doesn’t work out.

With EZdrummer 3 – you get a new window which does not show the transport bar,

so in my view – this is a negative step, although the midi learn feature is a good addition.

I am guessing that the software developers assumed users would be sitting at a computer with both hands free whilst writing tracks.

Just to clarify – with EZD2 – although I sometimes use a Roland Octapad – my tracks are mostly written and played back with a guitar around my neck, and a keyboard at the side of me for adding drum hits etc, whilst editing with simple mouse clicks – only needing to use one hand.

As I said previously, some of the very easy to use features of EZD 2 have been removed, and for me – the whole key to easy workflow

is to make changeable parameters simple to access and modify.

    Thanks

    Pete
