If you have the play button turned on in the EZDrummer UI (as you would normally do to hear grooves, for example) and then you switch to another track, sometimes the loop preview will go silent. However, if you then click the Garageband Play or Record buttons, the loop sample will play along with your recording or song… even if you have not dragged that loop into the sequencer. Try clicking off the play button in EZDrummer first and then play your track back again and see if that solves your problem.
