Okay, nice, this will work. That’s what I was looking for, now to start building my catalog.  Thanks for walking me through this, I’m sure its in the manual, but I’m still mastering the grid edit window and it information overload.  Congrats on SD3, I love being able to work in just the program. EZ Drummer 2 was a great leap forward, but having to go to my DAW for fine editing was cumbersome. Now I am doing it all in SD3. Again Thanks

    UPDATE

Just found I can add folders and rename blocks, so basically everything I was asking about IS in there, now I’m really jazzed.

That’s nice, but I’m thinking of something more robust. Dragging to user midi is fine, but I want to be able to name blocks, then organize them into folders for song, part, etc.  Basically I’d like to make user catalogs that resembles your browser organization.  I’ve been building so many cool parts of my own and I’d like to have them easily searchable for later use.  Basically a user version of what you use to build and organize parts.

    Thanks

Okay, I went back to the corrupt file and tried to drag midi from the desktop to the midi track and same problem. So it looks like EZ is in the clear. I have built a few more new files since the reinstall and all seems to be going well. Glad to be back to work.

Okay, I finally got everything reinstalled, but it didn’t work quite the way it was explained.
First I uninstalled everything and installed the V2.0 file from my account. Said it installed but nothing showed up. No standalone and no plugin in Digital Performer. So I uninstalled everything again and install V1.3.2 from my account. This installed perfectly. I then installed all my ezx sounds.
Now I install V2.0. Installer said all was good except, no standalone and when I opened DP EZ1 was still there, no V2.0. I bit the bullet and then installed 2.01, voila! the standalone was there and so was the v2 plugin. Updated everything and it worked in a test sequence.
Went to the project that started this whole mess and it still didn’t let me drag midi to the sequence track in DP.
Deleted all MIdi and EZDrummer tracks in the sequence duplicated the sequence, then added a new EZdrummer instance and I could now drag midi from EZ to the sequence.

I’m guessing that for some reason EZ drummer doesn’t like the way I want to set things up. Here is what I want to do. I want to build a sequence with EZdrummer and set it to multiple outputs, then set up tracks the way I want to record them. I then make this a DP template so whenever I start a new song I am already setup to record individual tracks. I did this and the first sequence I started a new song in with this template is the one that won’t let me drag midi. Is there any reason this is not doable?

The reason I’m going to all this work building templates is my clients love V2 for building drum tracks and now its becoming a mainstay in my system and I don’t want to have to waste time having to setup a muti track setup every time I build a new drum track.
    Thanks for the help.

Did not work. I pointed the soundmover to the ezdrummer folder. Now it installs the new sounds and that’s it. NO program or plugins. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO COMPLETELEY UNINSTALL EZDRUMMER SO I CAN START FROM SCRATCH AND REINSTALL EVERYTHING. AM I DOWNLOADING THE FULL VERSION OF 2.0 FROM MY ACCOUNT? I HAVE A BIG CLIENT COMING IN TOMORROW TO START A PROJECT AND WE NEED EXDRUMMER WORKING. I DON’T WANT TO TRY 2.01 AGAIN I NEED A VERSION I KNOW WORKS SO I WANT TO GET 2.0 ON MY COMPUTER. I HAVE WORKED VERY HARD TO GET THIS CLIENT TO LET ME USE EZDRUMMER FOR THIS PROJECT INSTEAD OF A REAL DRUMMER. IT WAS WORKING FINE IN 2.0, NOW THIS.
    Thank you for any help

I still have 2.0 on my computer at home and it works just fine. If I try the same thing at work with 2.01 the midi is rejected. When I get ezdrummer reinstalled I’ll be able to try again.

Thanks for replying. I’m running a Mac 2010 12 Core with OSX 10.92. Digital Performer is 8.06. EZDrummer worked fine except for the loops in the Percussion beats had one extra beat. EZdrummer 2.01 fixed the extra beat problem but made it imposssible to drag a midi beat to the track I was working on. I could drag it to make a new track but the beat always start on one, so no way to put it on the bar I want to start and I can’t append beats to a track.
I started by uninstalling 2.01 using the uninstaller in the 2.01 installer. Then I downloaded the 2.0 file in my account and it only installed the sound mover and an alias. I am installing in the default location and haven’t moved anything. As far as I know I haven’t move or deleted the EZhome folder, I don’t even know where that is.
The reason I went back to trying to install1.3.2 was I thought that since I have an upgrade to 2 that I might need to have a 1 version installed.
The contents on the installer file show there is almost a gig of data but when I do the install it says that it need to instal 32 megs of data.
    I’m stumped.
