The only way to load drums from one expansion and cymbals from another in one plugin instance, is in EZdrummer’s big brother Superior 2, which gives you control over the difference in microphones as well.
Would the Superior Drummer 2.0 Upgrade give me this functionality?
Slightly OT, what is the difference between the SD 2.0 Upgrade and the SD 2.0 Crossgrade?
ok thanks Juicy, I’ll play around with this tonight. Just so I understand:
1) Open EZD, select kit, load to track one
2) Create my song the normal way, drag and drop intro, verse, pre-chorus, fills etc
3) Open dfh, select kit (one with cymbals I like), load to track two
4) Copy midi from track one to track two
5) Remove cymbals from kit in track one
6) Remove everything but cymbals from kit in track two
Is that about right? Is that about it?
hmm.. that sounds complicated especially if I am creating a song on the fly, trying different fills and grooves, etc. I would have to duplicate every change I made.
Can sound files be over-written from one drum kit to another? Primarily I am looking to add or expand the sounds of the cymbals in the basic kit.. or, maybe it would be easier to copy and rename the kick and snare samples from the EZD kit into the dfh kit. Can this be done?
Musician’s Friend and Amazon have them available. I bought dfh hard copy from Musician’s Friend.
