Are you on PC or MAC? Running both 8.5 and 9 (PC) here and both of them find SD3. Probarly something has been missplaced during the install. But more info on what platform you are would be helpful..
You got it almost right other than im dragging the midi file directly into my DAW. Doing so makes them disapear from the user folder. If i do like you doing and drag them to song track inside Superior 3 they are fine. Ive posted this in a new Topic aswell where i more clearly describe a workaround. Hi.. Here it works.. Using Cubase 9.0.30 and there it works as intended. Activate all outs in Cubase from VTI intruments ( i do belivie that you aint running it as instrument track?) then activate multichannel from mixer dropdown menu/Output. That should work, if not something could be wrong in your setup. Is it a clean setup updrading from C5 to 9?
How about this then.. dragging midifiles from the user folder inside SD3 to my drumtrack makes them disapear. They are gone from the Windows folder and dont come up in my drumtrack. Luckily i had backup so i could test again. If i frist drop the file into the tap to find square and from there drag it to the same drumtrack it works. There is no problem drag n drop from the SD midi folder. Is it a known bug or just not possible?
