Hi John. It was my error. After upgrading, by default the MIDI view was checked in the GROOVES window, which I never saw before. After right-clicking in the window tab, I unchecked MIDI and it looks like it always did. Actually, could be very helpful when viewing complexity of grooves. Sorry…
Thank You for your time

Thanked by: JohnI installed SD3 on my internal HD ( w/o the last additional bleed mics) then all my other SDX and EZX libraries on an external SSD. Midi is automatically installed on the internal HD.

Thanked by: ejonesdrums1As mentioned above- you can just move libraries and redirect them next time.
Download the product manager. The SD3 software has to be on your hard drive but the libraries can live on external SSDs. Try to reinstall the main software and get that working. Then additional libraries later

Thanked by: ejonesdrums1You can bounce the file as a stereo audio file with all the mics and mixer effects. I have not been able to bounce individual drums with the Mix settings I’m sure there is a way though
Groove3.com has 3 full Superior Drummer 3 video courses that go from beginner to advanced. Highly recommend these.

Thanked by: SunKing968CSI use a GTech G-Drive 2TB ext SSD to store all my sound libraries. Toontrack and SpitfireAudio. You can move all libraries you already have and relink the paths in your DAW or the PM. It will ask you to locate them when you try to load them.
Any future libraries should be downloaded directly to the SSD.
Groove3.com has a few courses on Superior Drummer 3. Im in the middle of 1 now, picking up lots of info

Thanked by: nimrod_1I had the same problem with a 2017 iMac. 2 machines later…It was a font management problem and I had mixed OWC ram (the correct, compatible specs) with Apple ram. The apple store rebuilt the machine with all apple ram and all is well. If you replace apple tam with 3rd party make sure it is all the same company. Hope this helps
Hi Wilk
when you added the new drum did you save the Drum Kit as a user preset also? That might work with the new midi grooves when you call them back up

Thanked by: wilkFollowing. Hope they have a solution
Put the libraries on an external ssd and relink them from there. No need to install them on your hard drive.
Same velocity issues when using Machine Mikro 3 to trigger SD3 drums. Have to hit the pads very hard. Can input velocity be adjusted in SD3?
Is there an Uninstall SD3 or Toontracks file? It removes everything including hidden files.
Try to reinstall to a different location. Just the basic SD3 install and see if that works.
good luck
Another way is to:
Select the notes you want to duplicate, then option-drag (MAC) them to the new instrument. This makes a copy of the notes instead of just moving them. Should work fine
