Admittedly, I had trouble really using the last iteration of EZkeys, due to the older set-up that I wasn’t used to. But I did buy MIDI packs when they went on sale, despite whatever genre they were, in anticipation that it would be getting an upgrade at some point down the road.

After using this new iteration it for a few minutes, I can easily say that the prior purchases are entirely worth it. I’m going to be using this a lot more solely due to the fact it’s more like EZdrummer 3 and EZbass in its usability!

Just downloaded it. Sounded pretty good when I imported an EZKeys 1 project into an already-existing song! Can’t wait to try it out even more properly during my songwriting sessions.

I could use some help here too. I tried to export a WAV file and though I was doing it properly, but the length of time that process was taking was pretty extreme!

I made a habit of saving my EZdrummer 2 projects into files over the years, which really came in handy when 3 was announced. Yesterday, I spent a lot of the day starting a new track in my “key” songs, then opening EZdrummer 3 there and opening the EZdrummer 2 file within.

For the most part, the transfers went well, although there is a volume difference or kit mix missing on the occasional song. I figure some of them might need some minor adjusting as a result, just to make sure it lines up with the original sound I had in mind. But I think the transferring process did pretty good for the most part.

I plan on keeping 2 on the computer until most of my work is handling the EZ3 projects, if nothing goes terribly wrong.

Thanks, I got it to work by specifying the full path to the .vst3  There was a path containing %LOCALAPPDATA% that was not working.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Anyone having problems in Reaper should make sure all the possible pathways are selected. When I installed a new hard drive last Fall, I just let the VSTs install in their default folders instead of trying to get them all under one place. Even though I hate that they’re spread out all over, it’s made it easy to ID the proper folders from the get-go, so future installations are somewhat easier!

Are you loading the EZD2 Project as stated in the manual? https://www.toontrack.com/manual/ezdrummer-3/9/9-1-the-file-menu Can you report that the “Import EZdrummer 2 Project” doesn’t work?

Never mind, it works for me now! Don’t know how that occurred or if I missed the “2” import step altogether, but all my projects are loading correctly.

    Thanks for your help!
