I found a workaround if you want to change key but not transpose the chords i n EZKeys [if anyone is still having issues]

1. Select all events in the timeline
2. right click and copy
3. change the key
4. move the play head beyond the last event
5. right click and paste block
6. delete the original events (i.e select and remove)
7. move the pasted (untransposed) events to the correct point on the timeline

There’s probably a way to streamline this process, but it does work
