Thanks for this post.  I was at the same point in the grid editor looking for a windows style “file – save as midi” option.  Your post saved me!  I was getting ready to drag into a daw (which I didn’t have open at the time) but was thinking there’s gotta be a way to save this groove straight to midi.  Agree this is unintuitive and could be more straightforward, but at least can do it.  Thank you for the post.
