Hi John,
I have been hitting/programming eg C#2 then D2 for a hit then hit with mute, or D2 for a hit with mute. Which worked hitting the keys but not when playing the file.
Strangely enough I tried it again (after a few days off), and it didn’t work. Persevered for 5 mins and surprise – it was working. And continued to work.
Not sure if it will continue tomorrow, but it was doing what it should. Computers, eh?
Thanks for your prompt responses (sorry, I was a bit late) and your assistance.
Cheers,
Stu
Hello John,
Thanks for responding. Sorry mine is delayed.
I just updated to the latest version (2.1.1). Still no luck.
In the Cubase drum editor window, if I hit keys on the on-screen “piano keyboard” for the crash then mute, I will get the crash and then the muted cymbal, which will cutoff almost immediately (as expected). Even hitting just the muted crash works. But when I program in the hits in the drum editor and play the song, I just get the crash ringing, even the muted crash rings for a second or two, and it will not mute the full crash. Even changing velocities, etc, doesn’t work.
In saying that, before updating it did work once. But when I replayed the song, the problem returned.
I’ve tried it in Studio One and the same thing happens (muted crash not muting).
Thanks again,
Stu
