    I have an alesis dm10 studio kit. All i use is a laptop running windows 7. I have ASIO4all installed which is a free midi audio driver. I also have edrum midi mapper which is free for remapping midi notes. Then i run SD and ez drummer in toontracks SOLO which is also free. Thats it.

    I am not sure about a mac. I use Windows 7 and use edrum midi mapper and it works great all though my hi hat happened to be one of the onlythings that was mapped correctly with ez drummer. I have the alesis dm10 studio kit.
