    Thanks, Jordan.  I can’t speak for any other DAW, but the first suggestion – using the learn button – worked perfectly in Reaper.  I’m off to the races!

    Thanks John!  I actually did the first suggestion and realized I used to know how to do this for keys before I ever got a pad controller.  It’s the same for pads.  I’d forgotten how to do this… super simple.

    Thanks, Scott,

    I’m running it inside a DAW so that explains why the menu option isn’t there.  And that also shows me that what I’m looking for is not in that menu option.

    I’m just trying to find out how to assign particular samples (instruments) in my drumkit in ezd3 to certain pads on my PreSonus Atom pad controller – I’m trying to override the default patch/sample assignment on the controller.  How do I do this in ezd3?
