You are right , I wasn’t clear and sorry about that.here you go..

    1) I am not using the audio from TD27 , I made the local control off . sounds are from SD3

    2) here is how I connected and layout : I connected my Mac and TD27 via USB port, I have chosen the audio out in SD3 settings as TD27 , then from the master out from TD27 brain  , I run a one quarter inch cable as mono into a Roland pm200 monitor and from the out of PM200, I run a xlr out to a mixer , from mixer overall output to PA. From SD3 I use the standard kit with preset available mixer setting , not changing anything

3)yes, I use only 2 channels from SD3 and not changed to multi out

    4) reg sounds from Tom’s are not clear , I am using the tones from SD3 and not the Roland’s version one

    5) to isolate the problem and to ensure mixer levels is. It messing up , I disconnected the out from PM200 to the mixer and see if it’s better , but doesn’t .

    Hope this is clear now.

Thanks everyone for your time in getting me a response & clarity . I’ll explore the solution with focusrite interface and latency parameters to see if I get rid of this issue.

    Thanks

It’s a 2015 Mac book. For Vocals recording , I use a Focusrite audio interface that I run it when I need it, In the current case – It is not connected.

Yes my drum module act as an interface, I don’t need an additional one. I am using this setup for years, I need to figure what is the change causing this for last 6 months. My USB cable is 10ft long, I have checked the drivers – It is updated with latest one. No, I am not losing the power to Roland. Only the audio interface abruptly disconnects and connecting back in few secs.

    Jack ,

I use Mac book pro ,  2.9 GHZ i5, 16GB, 2 TB . The connection is direct between Mac and Roland 50X via USB 2.0 USB Type-A male to Type B male cable . No adaptors . The cable runs along the wall and intact, I mean – There is no way it is being disturbed by cat or me, No disruption .  This happens abruptly, The audio device 50X is removed and sometime connects back again. hope the setup is clear now.

Thanks for the response. Here is my setup, I have long USB cable that runs from my Roland to Mac, and couple of HDMI cables to two monitors(Displays)..I am sure the connection between Mac and Roland is intact , Are you guys saying is it because of so many connectors ? just wanted to be clear before I debug. Any suggestion to narrow down this issue, Much appreciated.

And @drumjack , to you question. This is happening always when the specific setup in use , I mean when I am playing my kit using Logic & SD3.

Yes, Under system-output – under the master out assignment tab , Change the USB out to phones to master L & R.No latencies

I figured this out – . There is an option in TD27 module to route the direct out from USB multi channel out to direct out. Its under output settings, currently it defaults to headphone. This allows us to get the EZD out to Zoom out

@Shootiehg – I would like to share a followup update to this thread. There is an option in TD27 module to route the direct out from USB multi channel out to direct out. Its under output settings, currently it defaults to headphone. This allows us to get the EZD out to a PA without an interface or anyother workarounds.  But thanks for your time on this. -D

Thanks for the response , John. So the way I understood was that I cannot alter the assignments in EZX meaning, By default I have to use the available assignments and mapping. In this case for example , I cannot change the tom modi note from cymbal or I cannot add a new splash I wanted to but I can do this using SD3? Pls correct if I stated this in other way.

Shootie, On the same note, I assume that I cannot assign a new tom. Here is my challenge. I have loaded a kit from my EZX, I have noticed that one of my extra tom(4th one) hasn’t mapped to a tom rather a cymbal.I am not able to change it. When I load the drop down, I am getting only cymbal options to change and not the list of toms. I have the EZ drummer version Rock expansion of 4 kits ,

Thanks. Let me run this setup and try it out as this is the first time. I’ll get back if I have some doubts. Thanks for your time. One basic question. Why do we need the audio interface , Cant the TD27 module act as an interface?

Thanks for your time. Btw I have a Focusrite audio interface, currently using it for a mic setup and never connected to drums. I can get a DI. Yes pls, If you could link something later, That would be great. A run down of cables from & to would be really helpful. Thanks for your time again.
