Some of the bass drums are the worst – they sound big when soloed, but they have so much reverb that they make the mix sound muddy and there doesn’t seem to be any way of reducing the reverb. They seem to have the reverb recorded into the samples because it makes very little difference if you mute the reverb channels on the mixer page. It would have made more sense to close mic the drums and add room mics on a separate channel to add the ambience.
