Yes, at least not a USB3 port. There were volume and latency issues that were improved once connected through USB2. However, even now I’m still not 100% satisfied with latency and stability and it’s a faff each and every time I switch it on cycling through the Audio/Midi/ASIO  options. TBH I tend to use the Roland module sounds more often than not now as it’s less hassle. Shame really….

    Hi John,

It’s set to 256, it won’t let me lower it, if I lower it to 128 or 64 and hit ‘apply’, it resets to 441. I can increase to 2048 and believe it or not, it has no effect on latency which tells you how bad it is in the first place.

    Appreciate your help!

Thanks for all you comments on this. I have now sorted the issue with volume and routing the sounds back through TD 50 using Midi USB…. The problem was I’d plugged in to a USB 3 port which isn’t supported by TD 50 drivers, simple fix once I’d figured out my mistake.

Thanks for the reply Erik. The velocities do match on TD50 and SD3. But even giving the snare (for example) a fair whack to give the 127 max hit… the resultant noise through the headphones is still considerably less than the 127 mouse initiated hit, and the kick is barely audible at all? I’ve tried both ‘select midi device’ and ‘use preset’.

    Thanks

    Steve
